  2.         CMPQWK Reader Upgrade Registration Form

  5. If you are a registered user of OLX, SLIMER, and WinQWK and 
  6. you register CMPQwk within the first 30 days of its release (look 
  7. at the *.exe file date if you're not sure) we will upgrade you to 
  8. CMPQwk for $25.  You MUST take one of two extra steps to prove 
  9. your legal ownership of these other mail readers.

  11. Upgrade Procedure
  12.  
  13. 1) Call one of the support BBS systems and download a QWK packet.
  14.    Using your OLD mail reader---not the unregistered version of 
  15.    CMPQwk---send Derek Backus a message in the CMPQwk conference 
  16.    asking him to upgrade you.  In the message you MUST also leave 
  17.    the serial number of your original mail reader and you MUST have 
  18.    a tagline displaying the mail reader's name and serial number.
  19.  
  20. Upon receipt of the message you'll receive an acknowledgement, 
  21. and after we verify your ownership by checking with the authors 
  22. of the original product, we will ask you to mail in the upgrade 
  23. offer form with your check or money order.

  25. 2) Remove the original title page of your OLX or WinQWK manual 
  26.    and mail it with this form. Your original mail reader's serial 
  27.    number MUST be written on the title page, along with your full 
  28.    name, phone number, address, etc. also on the title page 
  29.    (as well as this form).  We will verify that you legally own 
  30.    the product in question and then happily give you the upgrade price.

  32. 3) You MUST include a check for $25 with this form in any case.  
  33.    Your check will not be cashed until we've verified legal ownership 
  34.    of the original product.  If we cannot verify your ownership we will 
  35.    return your check to you via U.S. mail.

  43. If you pay by check, your registration key will be mailed to you 
  44. as soon as the check has been processed, which generally amounts 
  45. to about ten working days.  Money orders are usually faster, but 
  46. in any event expect your registration postcard to arrive within 
  47. two to three weeks for orders in the continental United States.

  49. Foreign orders may take from eight to sixteen weeks or more, 
  50. depending on the mail service and mailing method.
  51.  
  52. Upgrades may take longer than "new" orders due to the 
  53. verification process.
